The second annual Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN will be held in March, 2014.
Stay tuned for more information !!

The first ever, “Honolulu Rainbow Ekiden “ will be held for runners in Hawaii! “Ekiden”, a long distance relay race, was born in Japan and has about 90 years of history. In recent years “Ekiden” has gained worldwide attention. Honolulu is very excited to be the host of the Ekiden, "The Rainbow of the Pacific, Joining with Aloha."

Our goal is to join all participants in the Spirt of Aloha, by the use of ribbon leis as race sashes. We also strive to widen a circle of friendship beyond ethnic background or generation, to spread a ripple of goodwill to all participants of the Ekiden.
